Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord
Coming in 2013
Many of us have been told we will be “raptured out of here before the Antichrist’s arrives.” Kurschner, however, contends the Bible instead teaches that the church will first encounter the Antichrist’s great tribulation. Then at some unknown day and hour the great tribulation will be cut short by the second coming of Christ at which time believers will be resurrected and raptured just before the day of the Lord’s wrath is executed upon the world.
This is a message that the church needs to hear so we can spiritually prepare our hearts to be “overcomers” for what may soon come to pass, because Jesus warned, “Remember, I have told you ahead of time.” —Matt 24:25
The events of the Antichrist’s great tribulation and the day of the Lord’s wrath are frequently confused with each other. There is an important biblical distinction between the Antichrist’s great tribulation which will be directed against God’s people and the day of the Lord’s wrath which will be directed against the ungodly. The resurrection and the rapture will occur between these two events.
Kurschner skillfully interprets the relevant biblical texts, giving a coherent, consistent endtime’s picture—showing that this interpretation is the most biblical position. In short, this is a competent and compelling book that the Antichrist will arrive before the day of the Lord.
