(You can follow my ongoing series critiquing Scott Clarke’s “Great Sign of Revelation 12” theory at this link.)
I find it interesting that pretribbers who once exclaimed that since the word ‘church’ was not found between Revelation 4–21 therefore the rapture is pretrib, now are changing their view and seeing the “male child” in Revelation 12:5 as referring to the “church.” They need to do this 180 in order to subscribe to the “Great Sign of Revelation 12” theory. This is what Scott Clarke did. In his early videos he would claim that the church was raptured before Revelation 4 because the word church is not found in Revelation 4–21 (a typical pretrib view, by the way, that I refuted on The Biblical Prophecy Program). In recent videos, you will not hear Clarke make this argument anymore because he wants the “child” mentioned in Revelation 12:5 to refer to the church and the catching up in that verse to refer to the rapture.
