WHY would you not want to be a David when the eschatological Goliath appears on earth?
Many Christians think that it would be the worst thing for the Church to be here when the Antichrist appears.
I can understand not wanting to be here for God's eschatological wrath—but for the Antichrist, it is an opportunity to STAND UP and be counted worthy!
When the Antichrist is blaspheming your Lord and claiming to be God, would you not want to be here to stand up for the Lord of the universe and say to his face:
MY LIFE IS IN CHRIST! YOU CANNOT HARM MY SOUL. THE LORD WILL RETURN SOON AND DESTROY YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE. BUT FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, WE WILL WORSHIP GOD TO OUR DEATH.
