Dr. Alan Kurschner established, in previous episodes, a biblical-theological pattern in which God has worked with both Israel and the church simultaneously in the past and in the present.
It should not be unexpected then that God will work with both Israel and the church at the same time in the future, particularly during the seven years.
There is a striking juxtaposition in Rev 7 depicting God’s protection of two groups just before the day of the Lord’s wrath begins with the opening of the seventh seal. The first group is the 144,000 “from all the tribes of the people of Israel.”
