I have received requests from people who would love to see a debate take place between myself and pretribulational teacher and author Dr. Mark Hitchcock.
Recently, Eschatos Ministries invited Dr. Hitchcock for a Prewrath vs. Pretrib debate on the question whether the Antichrist will arrive before the rapture. He has declined. He cited that he has other commitments that are taking up his time such as pastoring, teaching, writing, and speaking. So he said that a debate is not a priority for him at this time.
Fair enough. But I want to make a few comments.
We are all busy. In fact, I am working on a full-time Ph.D, running Eschatos Ministries, speaking, and writing, and directing a Bible Institute! It is not as if I asked to debate next month. The invitation was for 2015. Also, Dr. Hichcock is a well-known Bible prophecy teacher, so I find it odd that he would not want to make a prophecy debate a priority, especially one with a prewrath proponent, because he must be aware that pretribulational believers are flocking in droves over to the prewrath position. So I would have thought he would make it a priority to debate against the fastest growing eschatology view out there.
I have left the debate invite open for Dr. Hitchcock if he changes his mind or if circumstances change for him. I have a long record of willing to defend my prewrath view in a public moderated debate being cross-examined by the best that pretrib has to offer. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about pretribulational teachers. That speaks volumes to the average pretribulationist who looks up to their teachers.
